What's this painting all about? I don't normally explain my work but I will for this one.
A person, probably me but could be you, sits quietly having a cup of tea. The voice in my head brings up an unwanted memory that I don't want to think about ut but there I am thinking about it. I try hard to dismiss it and another memory pops out of that one. Then another then another, they don't seem to have any correlation but they keep coming. At this point I become like Punch with his cosh playing whac-a-mole with my thoughts and try desperately to quieten my mind, the only way forward is to paint the experience.
